Win a whole window full of cash and holiday gift merchandise valued at over $1500! The merchandise, donated by downtown businesses, will be on display at Ruth Kelly Studio at Second and Broadway from November 9 to December 3. To enter the contest, participants must complete an entry form by locating an exact replica of the window merchandise in the downtown stores and determine the value of each item. It’s a Christmas Scavenger Hunt! The drawing will be made from all correct entries. Entry forms can be obtained from Downtown Muskogee, Inc. or participating merchants and can be turned in at these same locations. All entries must be turned in by 6:30 p.m. on December 3, 2009.

December 8th through the 12th. Free and open to the public. This Victorian era, turn-of-the-century Christmas Village will be offered free to the community by First Baptist Church. Visitors to the Christmas Village can have their family picture made in the Photography Shop, make a Christmas ornament in the Craft Shop or a candle in the Candle Shop, get a cup of something hot to drink in the Coffee Shop or something sweet from the Bakery or Candy Shop. Local groups performing in the Christmas Village include Sadler and Grant Foreman Elementary Choirs, the 7th-8th Grade Center Choir, the Muskogee High Freshman Choir and the 42nd Street Choir, the Hilldale High School Choir, the Country Gardens Bell Choir, the Oktaha Jazz Band, and the Tip Tap Toe Dance Academy. Earl Garrison, the Christmas Village Mayor, will be speaking on Wednesday night. Prizes will be given away each evening. Names will be drawn from those who have registered when they enter the Christmas Village. Entrance to the Christmas Village is through the 8th street side of the church.
